A few weeks ago I ran a free IELTS Writing Masterclass. I got several hundred attendees and they all had a ton of questions! I decided to take some of the most pertinent questions and answer them in this podcast. Here are some of the questions I answer:
- How do I improve my vocabulary skills?
- Should I know beforehand the theme of the text IELTS will provide me?
- How do I count words while writing?
- Should I use contractions when writing?
- When the test asks to give some examples, and you give only one, do they mark down?
- If I have an 8.5 speaking, but a 7 in writing, how can I get to a 7.5 or 8 in writing?
- I'd like to ask you how to improve from 6 to 6.5 in the writing part.
- I can't think of ideas
- How do I improve my reading writing and listening?
- My biggest problem in writing is organizing
- We also tend to struggle with idea connectors. How do we deal with them?
